Engineering at SA Power Networks goes far beyond poles, wires and infrastructure. Every day, our engineers help solve real-world challenges across the network while helping shape South Australia’s energy future. On International Women in Engineering Day, we’re recognising the women across our business applying those skills every day. They help strengthen the network and support the state’s energy transition. This year’s theme, Engineering Intelligence, recognises the many forms of intelligence engineers bring to their roles, from technical expertise and innovation to creativity, judgement and adaptability. We’ve come a long way. When ETSA was privatised in 1999, there was just one woman engineer in the business. Today, there are more than 70 women in engineering roles across SA Power Networks Group. That progress matters, and so does continuing to create pathways for the next generation through university partnerships, industry programs and school outreach. Today also provided an opportunity to come together and hear from women in engineering as they shared their experiences, insights and reflections. Their contribution continues to power innovation, resilience and progress across South Australia. #INWED2026 #EngineeringIntelligence
