Europe must turn stagnation into growth 🇪🇺 One week ago today, the S9+ Coalition reached a significant milestone at the D9+ Ministerial Meeting in Luxembourg. For the first time, our member representatives - Peter Kofler (Chairman of Danske Iværksættere - Danish Entrepreneurs) and Genna Elvin (Co-Founder of Tadaweb and President of PULSE — Luxembourg Startups Association) - presented a joint statement directly to the digital ministers and leaders representing Europe's leading digital nations. In this brief clip, Peter delivers a vital reality check on the massive funding gap facing European tech, why global success stories are still exiting to the US, and what true digital sovereignty actually looks like. As Peter noted during his presentation: "We can close the gap and we can achieve sovereignty. But not in the definition of self-sufficiency or protectionism, but through strength." We were incredibly encouraged by the great support and direct engagement during the subsequent discussion from European Commission Executive Vice-President Henna Virkkunen, Luxembourg’s Minister of Justice Elisabeth Margue, Portugal’s Minister Gonçalo Saraiva Matias, the Netherlands’ Minister Willemijn Aerdts, Czech Deputy Minister Jan Sechter, Director General of AESIA - Agencia Española de Supervisión de Inteligencia Artificial, Alberto Gago Fernandez, Poland’s Secretary of State Dariusz Standerski, PhD, and Head of Division at the Ministry of Digital Affairs and Gender Equality in Denmark, Mikael Bomholt. The digital nations of the D9+ play a pivotal role in shifting this trajectory. The appetite for change is there - now, we need the policy framework to match. 👇 Watch the full 90-second message below. #S9Plus #D9Plus #Competitiveness #Innovation #DigitalSovereignty #Startups #Scaleups #EuropeTech #Luxembourg Adigital & @EsTech, Startup Portugal, Scale-Ups.eu, Dutch Startup Association, Startup Poland, Estonian Founders Society, SISP – Swedish Incubators & Science Parks, Danske Iværksættere - Danish Entrepreneurs, Finnish Startup Community (FSC), Czech Startup Association, PULSE — Luxembourg Startups Association, House of Startups Luxembourg (HoST), Startup Slovenia, Scale Ireland
