As a Ukrainian by passport and heart, am I now required to preface every critique of an American success story with a heartfelt thank you? Is this just the new normal? If so, let me not break protocol: A huge thank you to Sahil Bloom, Tim Cook, and the entire intellectual establishment for their fearless effort in confirming what no civilization before us has ever suspected— that wealth is, in fact, more than just money. At last, we are saved. Naturally, I read this book. Naturally, I had thoughts. Naturally, I wondered: Is this a profound redefinition of wealth or just another self-help remix wrapped in a brandable number? And, of course, I hesitated. Because, honestly — who am I to question a book that comes with a Tim Cook stamp of approval? I mean, apart from being Ukrainian, I don’t have a billion-dollar company or a best-selling book (yet). Maybe I should just smile, nod, and move on. And yet — I really wanted this book to be good. Just as Alex Dang, an amazing author, released his bestseller The Venture Mindset — a deeply thoughtful work written alongside his Stanford colleague Ilya Strebulaev — I was given a heads-up that Sahil Bloom’s The 5 Types of Wealth was out. I was so full of hope that I immediately ordered it, excited for its arrival. I thought, maybe this is the moment. Maybe the voice and influence of someone like Sahil would finally help shift the needle in this incredibly important conversation. And yet… So here it is — my unfiltered, unapologetic review of The 5 Types of Wealth. Read at your own risk. #truewealthisdepth #sovereign #trustyourheart #speakyourtruth #nomore
