Last week, my teammates and I had the privilege of representing Santa Clara University and the Leavey Real Estate Institute at the 2026 NAIOP Silicon Valley University Challenge. I’m excited to share that our team, Bronco Development Group, took home first place, earning both the Judges’ Award and the Audience Choice Award. This wouldn’t have been possible without my teammates: Riley Baker, Emma Walsh, Nicholas Canter, Oliver Heldfond, and our advisor, Austen Peterson. Our proposal, Redwood Grove, was a mixed-use development on 15 acres in Palo Alto, featuring multifamily, office, and retail components. The project involved market analysis, financial modeling, and site planning focused on delivering the highest and best use for the city and its investors.
