𝐌𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐝 | 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐞 𝐀𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐧𝐢 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 What a special night reconnecting with our Ryan community in Brisbane for our very first past student and staff event. From three College Captains across the years (2013, 2024 and 2025) catching up, to past staff sharing stories from their time at Ryan, the evening was full of connection. We loved hearing where life has taken our past students - from studying Gaming, Journalism and Law at UQ, QUT and Griffith University, to forging unique paths through passion, drive and turning an idea into something more. From playing in the NBL, to working in app development with Shopify, to launching their own business like Wil Valor (a bespoke tailoring brand now developing software for tailoring businesses), just to name a few! We also celebrated the published success of our alumni authors, Krystal Sutherland and Tammy Forster - and how incredible that one of Krystal’s novels is now a movie - with book giveaways on the night. A truly special moment of the night came when Monique (Class of 1992), walking home from work, spotted our logo and thought “what’s my old school doing here?” So, she walked in and joined us. She shared beautiful memories of her time at Ryan… including meeting her husband there A special thank you to Paul from Grill’d Townsville, our Gold Plus Sponsor, for joining us on the night and continuing to support our Ryan community.
