RWE Americas and Meta have signed a new 15-year power purchase agreement for electricity from the 298 MW Rabbit's Foot Solar project in Bowie County, Texas, United States. This is the fourth PPA between RWE Americas and Meta since 2024, bringing the total capacity across our partnership to 872 MW spanning projects in Texas, Illinois, and Louisiana. Rabbit's Foot Solar is already under construction and expected to be operational by the end of 2027. The project will create nearly 200 local construction jobs and generate more than $50 million in long-term tax revenues for Bowie County over 40 years, supporting schools, emergency services, and critical infrastructure. As Ingmar Ritzenhofen, Chief Commercial Officer at RWE Americas, put it: "This agreement demonstrates how collaboration can drive meaningful economic growth and community benefits. By investing in Bowie County, we're not only creating approximately 200 local construction jobs, but also generating substantial long-term tax revenue that will help support schools, technical education programs, emergency services, and critical road maintenance and infrastructure improvements across the community." 872 MW.
