In two days, the longest day of the year arrives.   On 21 June, the sun stands higher and stays out longer than on any other day in the Northern Hemisphere. In our solar markets, that means longer shifts for every panel:   ▪︎ Cotmoor, UK: 17 hours ▪︎ Inden, Germany: 16.5 hours   ▪︎ Bosco, Italy: 14.8 hours   ▪︎ Casa de los Pinos, Spain: 15 hours   Different latitudes. Different daylight. One peak.   Solar panels prefer light to heat. The summer solstice brings both – longer hours, stronger sun, but also higher temperatures that gradually reduce module efficiency. Modern solar engineering accounts for that. Spacing for airflow. Tilt for angle. DC/AC ratios optimised to spread output across the day, so energy meets the grid when it's needed most.   Across our portfolio – over 100 solar projects in Europe, the Americas and Australia – the longest day is the day our teams have been preparing for since winter.   Every minute of light matters. On Sunday, every panel will be ready.
