📊 What should the 2031 Census look like in a world of falling survey responses and rising data complexity? We’ve just published a new report, developed with the Office for National Statistics and the Office for Statistics Regulation, capturing key insights from a roundtable on the future of UK population statistics. Bringing together senior leaders and data users, the discussion explored how population statistics must evolve to stay robust, relevant, and trusted in a rapidly changing landscape. 🔍 Some of the key themes that emerged: • A stronger focus on inclusivity and accessibility • Greater use of administrative and alternative data, with careful governance • Clearer communication of uncertainty and revisions • The need to preserve geographic continuity and public trust At its core, this work highlights the importance of early collaboration between producers, regulators, and users, and the need to think of population statistics as a connected system, not a one-off exercise. As planning for the 2031 Census begins, these insights will help shape a more responsive and future-ready approach. 👉 Read the full report: https://lnkd.in/e6id_W7a #Data #Statistics #Census2031 #PublicPolicy #DataInnovation #UKStats
