In 2027, one RIA Gold Medal will be awarded in the Humanities, and one will be awarded in the Chemical, Mathematical and Physical Sciences. Do you know someone making an internationally recognised outstanding scholarly contribution in these fields? Why not nominate them for a 2027 RIA Gold Medal? 🥇 The nomination deadline is 4 June at 5pm. The RIA is committed to ensuring that nominations for the Gold Medals reflect the full diversity of the research community across the island of Ireland. We wish to recognise and celebrate the contributions of women in the sciences, and – given the low number of eligible women nominated for the science award over the years – we strongly encourage nominators to put forward outstanding female candidates alongside other leading researchers.
