The RCP has continually warned about the impact of extreme heat on patient care 🌡️ We were glad to see MPs raise the conditions that our members have had to work in at Health and Social Care Oral Parliamentary Questions, which is a key opportunity for MPs to hold the government to account on issues relating to healthcare. MPs highlighted the conditions that both patients and our members have had to endure during the recent heatwave. This includes wards not having AC, machines failing and IT servers overheating. We continue to call for an NHS resilience plan to ensure that services are built to withstand extreme heat and are working with MPs to try and secure this.
