What does conservation actually look like? ๐ŸŒฟ You might picture remote fieldwork - but often, a big part of it involves training, skills and shared knowledge. Through Darwin Plus support, two Terrestrial Wardens from the British Virgin Islands trained with us at Kew, building hands-on expertise in seed conservation, plant identification, horticulture and tree care. These skills are now helping them grow native plants, restore habitats, remove invasive species and care for trees across National Parks and botanic gardens. As local experts, they know these landscapes better than anyone. With the right tools, they can become guardians of nature for the BVI - protecting biodiversity, supporting resilient habitats and helping these islands recover for generations to come ๐ŸŒ Read more about the wider BVI conservation work behind this story ๐Ÿ‘‡ https://ow.ly/oOrb50Z3iPH https://ow.ly/EXGT50Z3iPp Learn more about the project: https://ow.ly/CrWY50Z3iPX Biodiversity Challenge Funds #DPLUS215
