MEET THE TEAM Joe Davey, Warehouse Manager at Rowan International Joe had an established career in the steel industry, logistics and for Coca-Cola when he joined Rowan in 2020. "My job at Rowan is to make sure that everything is in place to move suppliers' stock from any site and on to customers. My role encompasses all warehouse requirements in the UK and EU, plus I look after Health & Safety, facilities and compliance. It's all about planning – making sure Rowan can deal with volume spikes seamlessly and move stock where needed. My biggest challenges are volumes of stock leaving the warehouse in the same week it arrives; we have many customers who have very specific requirements for the delivery of orders and we work hard to ensure they're met. There's a lot of coaching and problem solving involved. The culture at Rowan very team spirit driven, I have the autonomy to self-manage and drive forward with ideas, to reset and try again. My team achieves great things by not being afraid to try. Every day has a new challenge all centred around ensuring whatever stock we buy gets to our customer’s quickly and as ordered. I never wake up in the morning dreading work, I enjoy every day at Rowan." Did you know?
