Rosenberger Network Solutions to Design TNMP’s Private LTE & Licensed PtMP Field Area Network Lake Charles, LA - January 7, 2026 - Rosenberger Network Solutions (RNS), a U.S. subsidiary of the global Rosenberger Group, is pleased to announce it has been selected to lead the planning, design, and engineering of Texas-New Mexico Power’s (TNMP) Private LTE (PLTE) and licensed Point-to-Multipoint (PtMP) Field Area Network (FAN). The initiative supports TNMP’s System Resiliency Plan, strengthening operational communications, grid reliability, and storm-hardening across diverse Texas service territories. Program Overview: TNMP’s program is designed to deliver resilient, secure, and scalable communications for utility operations, enabling real-time monitoring and control (e.g., SCADA integration), faster fault isolation and restoration, and near-100% service-area coverage for fixed grid devices - all aligned to utility-grade cybersecurity and compliance expectations. RNS scope of work includes: • Current-state assessment & gap analysis of the OT WAN to prepare for full PLTE/PtMP integration. • High-level and detailed designs: propagation modeling, coverage/capacity dimensioning, site design packages, and technical specifications across RAN, transport/backhaul, and core. • Cyber/physical security frameworks aligned with industry standards, plus integration with existing TNMP systems. • Vendor and technology evaluations, interference analysis/frequency coordination, and preparation of construction RFP documentation to ensure a seamless transition from design to deployment. Program milestones span manufacturer evaluations, tower loading assessments, pilot deployments to validate design, completion of detailed engineering (including BOMs), and the release of construction RFPs, positioning TNMP to move confidently into procurement and build.
