In the heart of #Hamburg’s HafenCity, the Westfield Hamburg Überseequartier development brings together shopping, culture, and urban living under one roof – and Roschmann Group is proud to contribute to this visionary project. The freeform-shaped glass roof, designed by Werner Sobek AG, spans the pedestrian streets, walkways, and plazas of the development. It consists of 213 tonnes of glass, arranged in 8,535 uniquely shaped triangular, quadrangular, and pentagonal panes. This transparent roof creates a seamless spatial experience between inside and outside, combining engineering precision with architectural elegance. The filigree mesh of 4,592 steel nodes, milled from 315 tonnes of raw material, forms the structural backbone of the space – a technical and aesthetic masterpiece.
