I made a series of objects and lent them to elderly inhabitants of the Frisian villages Koarnjum and Jelsum. With my camera, I paid them several visits in November 2020 to film their first encounters with their object, and the connection they developed to it over time. What place did it have in their daily routine? How did it relate to their other belongings? Did the objects gain meaning in the context of their personal history?
