NCR acquired Cardtronics in 2021 for $2.5 Billion. In October 2023, NCR Corporation had a market cap of $3 Billion and was split into two independent public companies: NCR Voyix legally succeeded NCR Corporation, while the ATM business was spun-off as NCR Atleos. NCR Voyix now has a market cap of just over $1 Billion. Today, it has been announced that shareholder approval has been received for Brink’s Inc acquisition of NCR Atleos for $6.6 Billion. So the whole NCR company had a market cap of $3 Billion just three years ago, yet the two entities that were created after NCR split are today together valued at $7.6 Billion. I wish the enlarged Brinks well. With the company, after the deal is completed, controlling 25% of all the ATMs on the planet, they are in a strong position both to help sustain and to benefit from the continuing popularity of cash as a Payment Choice.
