Toyota: Made in Europe Probably not the first thing that comes to mind? Last week, I had the pleasure of visiting the Toyota Motor Corporation manufacturing plant in Kolín, Czech Republic—one of eight Toyota plants in Europe. Some facts: ·      7 out of 10 Toyota vehicles sold in Europe are manufactured here ·      Over 25,000 employees ·      More than €12 billion invested since 1990 We had inspiring meetings with representatives from the Czech Senate, the Dutch ambassador, Mina Noor and participants of a Dutch trade mission organized by RAI Automotive Industry NL. Insightful presentations from colleagues Tomas Paroubek and Andrea Enrico Saccone highlighted Toyota’s multipath approach to zero-emission mobility: the focus is on decarbonization, not just technology.
