Exactly a week ago, under scorching heat, I was planning to have a white wine and watch some world cup games... This chap pings me on linkedin. He's seen a post were I was whining about selection processes, and asked if he could help by reviewing my CV. The guy built a bank with his bare hands (and I'm sure with the help of many other "competent hands"). Firstly I told him I'm busy building something, but then on a second thought, "why not"? I sent him my CV. He came back a couple of hours later with the most detailed analysis of the weak points: where things need to be better explained, reorganised, condensed... I can imagine how busy he might be and the daily challenges he may be facing in his role. But he took an hour of his time (or maybe more) to help an old moaner. In response to that, I spent some time reshaping it this week. Just so you know Stuart Ellidge that it will be out soon (I just won't have a green Linkedin badge yet). And of course this deserves to be publicly appreciated. You're the fabric of our great nation.
