🇮🇹 CHIOSTRO DI SAN GIOVANNI La celebre famiglia di marmorari romani dei Vassalletto lavora su questo chiostro per quasi dieci anni, nel terzo decennio del XIII secolo. Trattasi del più grande chiostro medievale di Roma, a pianta quadrata, con ogni lato che misura oltre 36 metri, con piccole arcate che poggiano su colonnine binate, di varia forma: lisce, a spirale, intrecciate o intarsiate di lucenti mosaici cosmateschi che fanno filtrare delicatamente la luce e dando un senso di armonia e di pace a tutto il complesso. 🇬🇧 THE CLOISTER OF ST. JOHN The Roman Vassalletto family, famous for the experience in the marble working, worked on this cloister for almost ten years, in the third decade of the XIII century.
