We are proud to support one of Europe’s most forward‑looking ferry projects with our latest mtu Series 4000 marine gensets: Four newly built 20V4000M35S units were recently shipped to Astilleros ARMON, S.A., following the first batch delivered in March. In total, eight gensets will equip two fully electric fast ferries operated by Baleària. Starting in 2027, these vessels will connect Tarifa and Tangier, creating the first green corridor between Europe and Africa. Each genset delivers 2,840 kW and can support the full propulsion system in critical situations, ensuring resilience even without shore charging. Read more: https://lnkd.in/e6zPpyj7
