We are continuing to enable the transition to lower-carbon power by testing our mtu diesel engines at our German production sites with renewable diesel hydrogenated vegetable oil (HVO) The HVO derived from vegetable oils and waste materials is now supporting our test benches in Friedrichshafen, Augsburg and Ruhstorf in Germany, saving around 3,200 tonnes of CO2 already. Our mtu solutions Series 4000 engines will go on to power ships, trains, data centres and other energy systems, with many of our customers already successfully operating with HVO.
