Rolls-Royce SMR were delighted to support and attend the King’s Birthday Parties in Prague and Budapest - two outstanding events that highlighted the strength and depth of the UK’s relationships across Central Europe. In Prague, we were honoured that President Petr Pavel attended as Guest of Honour. The partnership between Rolls-Royce SMR and ČEZ, alongside the signing of the Early Works Contract, was recognised in both his remarks and those of the British Ambassador, a strong reflection of the growing momentum behind the SMR programme in Czechia. In Budapest, the event provided a valuable opportunity to engage with government, industry and academic stakeholders from across Hungary, discussing the role SMRs can play in delivering secure, low-carbon energy across the region. We were also pleased to welcome students from our competition with the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, showcasing the next generation of nuclear talent.
