Rolls-Royce SMR Welcomes British Ambassador to Sweden to its Module Facility. We were honoured to host Samantha Job, British Ambassador to Sweden, on a visit to our ‘Experi’ Module Development Facility at the University of Sheffield’s AMRC ‘Factory 2050’. This was an important opportunity for her to deepen her understanding of the Rolls‑Royce SMR programme and the part it can play in Sweden’s energy future. During the visit, Alan Woods, Rolls-Royce SMR Strategy and Business Development Director, and Alan Pardoe, Manufacturing Capability Delivery Manager, showcased how Rolls-Royce SMR is transforming the way new nuclear power is delivered through a highly industrialised, modular manufacturing process. The Ambassador explored: 🔹 Our end‑to‑end manufacturing strategy 🔹 Assembly timelines and modular construction techniques 🔹 How Rolls-Royce SMR offers certainty, cost efficiency and schedule assurance compared to its competitors. Rolls-Royce SMR has been selected by Vattenfall as one of only two companies to reach the final stage in the process to identify Sweden’s nuclear technology partner. A huge thank you to Ambassador Job for joining us, and for the supporting the UK’s leading clean energy technology.
