What are you actually building and using with AI right now? Aisling Mooney is Founder and CEO of Fertally, a platform improving fertility treatment outcomes. The build is her answer to what she describes as her biggest project: seventeen layers of machine learning intelligence and insights, currently being refined and upgraded by seventeen coding agents running simultaneously. Built solo. Two and a half years in development. Her reasoning for the multi-agent approach goes beyond convenience. Architecture, she says, is the fundamental challenge when building from scratch without a technical background. Questions about scalability, security, robustness, and handling a large volume of users are hard to think through if you’re not used to that space. Her solution: a named system of agents, each with specific priorities, in place from the moment a project starts. The approach applies beyond Fertally. It’s how she starts every build — structure the agent system first, assign priorities, and have the architecture thinking done before the development begins.
