Last week in Madrid, our Senior Partner Juan Luis Vilchez served as Chairman of the European Biofuels & SAF Summit 2026, one of the leading industry events dedicated to the future of sustainable fuels in Europe.   Bringing together more than 600 senior leaders and over 80 speakers, the summit provided two intensive days of discussion on the issues that matter most for the sector: offtake agreements, investment decisions, feedstock availability, and the economics of scaling sustainable fuel production.   A clear message emerged from the discussions: sustainable fuels are no longer a niche topic. They are essential to decarbonizing hard-to-abate sectors such as aviation and maritime transport, while also strengthening Europe's energy security and industrial competitiveness. Southern Europe has the resources, infrastructure, and strategic position to play a leading role in this transition.
