šŸ” The photonics and laser industry is entering a more selective phase, and the companies that recognize this early will be better positioned for what comes next. For much of the past decade, growth across the industry created the impression that the right strategy was simply to grow with the market. That window is closing. The forces acting on photonics companies today are structural and concurrent: softening capital expenditure, slower than expected AI demand conversion, supply chain corrections, intensifying competition and growing pressure on software differentiation. At the same time, segments with genuine structural momentum are pulling ahead. AI connectivity, defense, biophotonics and quantum are growing in ways that are less exposed to the cyclical swings affecting other parts of the market. Portfolio shape is now a more important strategic variable than it has been in years. We have published a new analysis examining how photonics companies can move from cycle exposure toward structural value creation. šŸ‘‰ Read the full analysis: https://lnkd.in/di3aywtx #RolandBerger #Photonics #LaserIndustry #DeepTech
