In recognition of the ongoing collaboration between Rogers and APTN to broadcast Hockey Night in Canada in Cree and Inuktitut, Rogers received a hockey stick — hand-carved and painted by Indigenous artists —from APTN CEO Monika Ille, MBA.    Since 2019, Rogers and APTN have partnered on these broadcasts to help reclaim space for Indigenous languages in mainstream culture, ensuring they are heard, celebrated, and passed on through one of the country’s most unifying traditions: hockey.    Accepting the award on behalf of Rogers was Colette Watson, President of Rogers Sports & Media.
