LIBERTY12 — Office Building · Luxembourg · 2026 Twenty years in — a rear view at projects that shaped the practice. Renovated in the late eighties without deference to the initial design, the building had lost its connection to the avenue's character. The main entrance suppressed, the circulation logic dissolved, the ground floor mute to one of the city's defining axes. A reinstatement to define the refurbishment's approach: entry returned to its intended position, the arched bays reopened toward the avenue. The foyer followed — barrel vault in cove light, blonde limestone dado, faceted mirrors drawing the Haussmannian street register inward. At the rear, the stepped mass was rebalanced and planted; three terraces, staggered, greened — what read as an intrusion within the block becomes, from above, its most considered surface. A rose pattern cut into steel — for the rousegaertchen a few steps away, and for the flower parades that once filled this avenue, before iron replaced roses as Luxembourg's signature.
