Director of Studies and Futures Co-ordinator at RIC, Ella, discusses the personalised, focused and tailored Futures provision at Rochester Independent College. With a strong track record of Oxford, Cambridge, G5 and Creative Art university placements at RIC - this is supported by a focused 1 to 1 Director of Studies for all students. Within the Sixth Form, students meet with their Director of Studies on a weekly - fortnightly basis, create strategy plans for their university applications, manage subject choice combinations, university's entrance criteria, personal statements and consistently review academic progression within their subjects. Significant research and development has gone into the Futures Department at RIC, including partnerships with Dukes Plus (A-List for US applications, InvestIn, Medic Portal and Lawyer Portal) to offer students the super-curricular programmes required for competitive university entrances, including Medicine, Law, Vet Science, Dentistry, Engineering and UAL.
