⚽ True or false? ⚽ This week is #CervicalScreeningAwarenessWeek, and we're celebrating our partnership with Everton in the Community (Everton Football Club's official charity) by putting some of the brilliant Everton Women's players' knowledge to the test with a quick-fire true or false challenge. While there were plenty of laughs during filming, the message behind the game is an important one. Cervical screening saves lives. In fact, it saves 5000 lives in the UK every year. Yet a third of people are overdue for their appointment, and in parts of the country, some are at greater risk of the disease than others due to a low uptake of the preventive HPV vaccine. And remember, for those who have been vaccinated, it's still important to attend cervical screening appointments, as the vaccine does not protect you from all types of HPV.
