Brand, Product & Design Leadership | Strategic Direction for Founders, Teams, and Companies in Transition

I spent Election Day November 3rd 2020 at Thomas Jefferson’s estate at Monticello outside of Charlottesville in Virginia. I’d been wanting to visit for quite sometime since I discovered several years back that my 4th Great Grandfather William Roscoe and Thomas Jefferson would often write to one another and a bust of William was gifted to Jefferson where it took place in Jefferson’s Library. One extract from their communiques in 1820 exactly 200 years ago to this year was the line “this institution will be based on the illimitable freedom of the human mind. for here we are not afraid to follow truth wherever it may lead, nor to tolerate any error so long as reason is left free to combat it.” So very poignant for current times.
