“Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the present.” The words of the great philosopher and teacher Grand Master Oogway to Kung Fu Panda. It has been a gift to lead the amazing company and staff at the University of Southampton Science Park for the past 7 years. Where it will head tomorrow is a mystery, but I know it is in the safe hands of the current team and the new CEO, Michael Aston. I wish them well. As I consign the Science Park to my personal history of past experience, I’ll sign off with the words of another great philosopher, Douglas Adams: “So long, and thanks for all the fish…”
