This week, as my first set of exams at university comes to an end, I find myself reflecting on other achievements from the start of this academic year. Specifically, receiving an award from my old sixth form for "Contribution to Sixth Form Life." One reason is that I led a team of fantastic pupils to work together and produce the annual Yearbook for the departing Year 13 students (myself included). It was a brilliant opportunity to learn more about team leadership, project management, and communicating with a large number of students & staff (frequently having to spend lunchtimes searching for people who hadn't managed to respond to emails in time). Whilst continuing to focus on studies and revision, I learned the importance of time management and constant communication with the team. We met biweekly to discuss changes and update key staff on plans regarding design, ideas, and final decisions. It really was a great project to be a part of. Completing the yearbook was a proud achievement, despite having to make final alterations whilst in an airport lounge on the way to partake in another project!
