Kimpton Arrives in Austria! 🇦🇹 I’m thrilled to announce the signing of the Kimpton Salzburg – the first in Austria and a key step in expanding IHG Hotels & Resorts’ Luxury & Lifestyle portfolio in the DACH Region. Located in the heart of Salzburg, the hotel is part of the remarkable Midstad Salzburg mixed-use development by Midstad and will be operated by our long-standing partner tristar Hotels, who now have 33 IHG hotels open or under development, this one being the first under the Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants Brand. A true testament to our partnership. My personal sincere thanks go out to Christina Locher, Jochen Weishaupt and Robert Suga at tristar Hotels, and Julia Cloppenburg, Iris Welteke and Kevin Dr. Meyer at Midstad for the outstanding collaboration, and of course to all my colleagues at IHG, who will be bringing the Kimpton Salzburg to life with them.
