🌳 Indigenous communities have been managing their land for generations in ways that benefit more than just themselves. Their role in nature conservation and sustainable agriculture cannot be overstated: for example, this 5% of the world’s population protects more than 80% of remaining biodiversity worldwide. Yet the rights of forest communities, nomadic herders, and similar groups are under threat worldwide. Mali OLE KAUNGA brings their voices to the very place where they are still too often ignored: the political arena. We support him and the organization IMPACT Kenya, which he founded, in this effort. 🔁 Feel free to share this video if you want to help raise awareness of his cause. PS: We’re delighted that he’s currently here with us in Berlin as a fellow of our Robert Bosch Academy. ♥️ -- #ClimateJustice #LandRights #TogetherForImpact
