💧 Fill level sensors cost €800+ per station. He built this with a camera and Python. YOLO detects each bottle in real time. HSV color analysis reads the liquid height. Angle correction handles tilted bottles — because on a real conveyor, nothing is perfectly upright. No physical sensor. No product contact. No calibration fatigue. The part questioned in the comments is valid: does this solve a real pain point? My answer: yes when you're using existing CCTV infrastructure. No new hardware. No CAPEX. Just inference on what's already there. The edge cases will be the real test: foam, steam, backlight, label reflections. But the foundation is solid. Have you replaced a physical sensor with a vision system on your line — or does your QC team still push back on camera-only inspection?
