SCHUNK phases out their material-removal line — and ATI steps up to support customers. For years, SCHUNK - Hand in hand for tomorrow offered a range of robotic material-removal tools under the R-EMENDO group, including: ▪ FDB deburring spindles – pneumatic tools for edge removal and contour work. ▪ RCE electric spindle – high-speed, brushless deburring with load monitoring. ▪ AOV orbital sander – compliant sanding for flat surfaces. ▪ MFT polishing tools – spindle and compliance units for polishing. ▪ PCFC compensation units – constant-force tools for grinding and polishing. These products played a valuable role in automating sharp-edge removal, post-processing castings, and reducing ergonomic strain from manual finishing. ⸻ ATI Industrial Automation 𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐲 With SCHUNK discontinuing these tools, ATI Industrial Automation has stepped in to provide continued support, replacements, and full service coverage. We’re also maintaining support for the SWS tool changer, consistently praised by SCHUNK’s own sales staff as their most reliable product. As SCHUNK - Hand in hand for tomorrow restructures and reduces parts of its portfolio, ATI is working closely with distributors and integrators across Europe to ensure customers experience no disruption. ⸻ 𝐒𝐂𝐇𝐔𝐍𝐊 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐝 𝐢𝐭 𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥 “We are convinced that innovations are best created through partnership and cooperation on an equal footing.” — Johannes Ketterer, SCHUNK COO/CSO Automation moves forward when partners step up — and ATI Industrial Automation is committed to keeping material-removal applications running smoothly. ⸻ 𝐀𝐜𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐂𝐇𝐔𝐍𝐊’𝐬 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐬 R-EMENDO was supported by strong technical talent. Two standouts — Felix Eissele and Tucker Sweet — earned a reputation for solving tough finishing applications and improving customer productivity. Their work set a high bar that ATI is committed to carrying forward for existing users. #robotics #materialremoval #deburr #finishing
