6 words and 2 numbers was all I needed At the moment, it’s that time of the year again. A time to talk to your team about their development, their performances, and their ambitions. I’m talking about year end reviews. Of course I want this to be a constructive conversation between two people and not a top-down monologue, too, but how to set the scene? Well, all I needed was 6 words and 2 numbers to really feel a warm welcome. It was so simple, but I sat down in the meeting room and the conversion started. After a while, I needed some water (too much talking ;-) That was when I saw the chart and read the lines. „Welcome to your YER 2025/26, dear Robby“. Oh wow! I was completely overwhelmed as I wasn‘t expecting this at all. Sounds weird for some, but for me this easy add-on was the kind of appreciation and this „To be seen moment“ that I am looking for in a strong employer, especially during conversations like a YER. Puratos After the first smile and happiness overload, the meeting continued and I felt relieved to be where I am right now. Thank you for this moment, Björn Zeidler In the meantime, I implemented this simple but effective appreciation moment in every YER; some realized it and were happy, others didn‘t see it at all. And ideas from your experience? How do you build a safe space for your year end reviews? #yearendreview #icebreaker #employeesatisfation #yer #puratos #foodinnovationforgood
