It was a busy week since the last #FarmingFriday post. Considering it is Sunday the next from it In the last nine days we have pounded down the fungicide! This will be the first year maybe ever where every acre will get an application. The chickpeas will get between 4 and 5 actually Lentils will get 2 most likely. Cabbage seed pod weevils are in the later canola and the petal tests are coming back with very high sclerotinia so it’s an easy decision to use a good fungicide as well. The wheat looks great so it gets a shot too. Feels like the Oprah thing-you get a car and you get a car! Everyone gets a fungicide! If my agronomist is reading this. Sorry for the late submission once again but it’s his fault really. He has us hopping trying to keep up on the Goldilocks staging for wheat and fusarium timing . Some other photos included are the water obstacles we get to play with on a few fields. Anyways hopefully I can report in time next week but I’m sure our cheerful Charlie agronomist will find more things to do by then!
