Hinge’s newest campaign is built on a premise I find genuinely smart: that the moments which actually build connection are the ones nobody would think to film. Doing chores together. Sitting around with nothing planned. “All We Need Is Us” takes that idea seriously across France, Germany, and Spain, and “Garden” is where it shows up most plainly. There is a particular kind of quiet that happens when two people are doing something ordinary together, and neither one feels the need to fill the silence. No declarations, no music swelling to tell you what to feel. Just two people pulling weeds. Scoring a moment like that is a different discipline than scoring a big emotional turn. You are not building toward anything. You are protecting a feeling that already exists in the footage and making sure the music does not get in its way. The spot pairs “Plus Sized” by Jay Israelson with “Prometheus Introduction” by Parry Music Classical, a piece built on a Beethoven theme, and the job in both cases was restraint. #MusicSupervision #MusicLicensing #DeptOfMusic
