Many consider it the most beautiful Mercedes-Benz ever built. As one of the last hand-built Mercedes-Benz models, the 280 SE 3.5 Cabriolet combined elegant styling, V8 power, and exceptional craftsmanship in a way few cars before or since have managed. This final-year 1971 example is one of only 347 produced and benefits from a no-expense-spared restoration by Mercedes-Benz Classic in Fellbach, Germany. Finished in its factory-correct Silver over Black leather, it has covered just 1,545 kilometres since completion. Powered by its matching-numbers engine and equipped with desirable factory options including air conditioning and a floor-shift automatic transmission, it represents one of the marque's most coveted post-war grand tourers.
