Today, we were delighted to welcome RIYA KUMAR and Hardik Chavda from CSIR IMTech, India, as they begin their 12 month research visit at RMIT University in Melbourne. Both Riya and Hardik are supervised by Prof. Anil Kumar Anal at CSIR IMTech. For Riya, this is her first trip overseas. She shared that Melbourne has always been a place she wanted to visit, and she is looking forward to a productive year of research, meeting new people, and experiencing a new culture. Hardik is looking forward to conducting research at RMIT using its cutting edge research facilities. He is eager to strengthen his research skills while building valuable academic and professional connections during his time in Melbourne. As the first students from CSIR IMTech to join the RMIT-AcSIR Joint Research Program, Riya and Hardik are excited to make the most of this opportunity. They shared that being the first participants from their institute gives them a strong sense of responsibility, and they hope to set a positive example for future students. At RMIT, Riya will undertake her research under the supervision of Professor Nitin Mantri, while Hardik will be supervised by Professor Naba Dutta.
