Tareq Amin is a Jordanian-American technologist who has built a distinguished career in digital transformation, telecommunications, and artificial intelligence, earning recognition for his contributions both regionally and globally. In May 2025, Amin was appointed Chief Executive Officer of HUMAIN, a full-stack AI company owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF) and chaired by His Royal Highness, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia. In this role, he leads HUMAIN’s vision of becoming a leading AI company in the region by developing AI-native platforms across four key areas: AI Infrastructure, AI Cloud, Data & Models, and Applications & Solutions. Prior to joining HUMAIN, Amin served as Chief Executive Officer of Aramco Digital, where he led the establishment and growth of the Aramco subsidiary, driving digital transformation and advancing strategic innovation initiatives across Saudi Arabia. Before Aramco Digital, Amin founded and led Rakuten Symphony, launched in August 2021 under the Rakuten Group, with the goal of transforming the telecommunications industry by integrating IT and network technologies. As CEO, he guided the company’s expansion into the mobile market and introduced automation-driven platforms designed to support telecom operators worldwide. In 2022, he was also appointed CEO of Rakuten Mobile, where he played a key role in strengthening the company’s growth in Japan while aligning it with Rakuten Symphony’s global strategy. Earlier in his career, Amin served as Senior Vice President of Technology Development and Automation at Reliance Jio, where he contributed to the transformation of India’s mobile industry. He also held leadership positions in the telecommunications sector, including Vice President of Carrier Solutions at Huawei and Senior Director of National Planning & Performance at T-Mobile. Amin holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Physics from Portland State University in Oregon.
