I Solve Brand Mysteries | Personal Branding & Websites for Executive Leaders
"Is 360 Brew affecting my reach on LinkedIn?" Probably not. The real algorithm shift is much bigger. And it’s already here. I’ve been tracking this closely. According to the latest insights, the feared "360 Brew" update hasn't hit yet. If your reach declined recently, it’s due to a different, massive overhaul that is currently active. LinkedIn has fundamentally changed from being primarily: 1. Relationship-Based: Reach depended on your network size and who you knew. 2. To Interest-Based: Reach now depends on the topics you engage with and who you want to become. The result is that LinkedIn is matching content to your expressed interests and aspirations, not just your 1st-degree connections. This means: •Your content needs to align with the topics your ideal clients are currently consuming. •Lower overall reach can be a sign of better quality filtering, not necessarily a platform penalty. This new model rewards clear positioning. If your profile signals exactly what transformation you deliver, the interest-based distribution will push your content to the right new networks. Stop chasing the algorithm rumors. Start aligning your entire profile and content with the identity you want LinkedIn to associate you with. P.S. What's one topic you've been engaging with lately that LinkedIn keeps showing you more of? For me, it's founders building in public.
