🚀 Excited to share one of my recent AI + IoT projects! I developed a Hand Gesture Controlled LED System using Python, OpenCV, MediaPipe, and ESP32, where different finger gestures control LEDs in real time without touching any physical switch. 💡 How it works: ☝️ 1 Finger = 1 LED ON ✌️ 2 Fingers = 2 LEDs ON 🤟 3 Fingers = 3 LEDs ON 🖖 4 Fingers = 4 LEDs ON 🖐️ 5 Fingers = 5 LEDs ON 👊 Closed Hand = All LEDs OFF The project uses Computer Vision to detect hand landmarks through a webcam. The finger count is processed using MediaPipe, and the corresponding command is sent to an ESP32 to control the LEDs instantly. 🔧 Technologies Used: • Python • OpenCV • MediaPipe • ESP32 • Computer Vision • Serial Communication One of the most interesting parts of this project was debugging and challenges between software and hardware. During the development process, I also leveraged ChatGPT as a learning and troubleshooting assistant to understand errors, explore solutions, and speed up development—demonstrating how AI can support not only projects but also the learning journey of developers. This project highlights the exciting possibilities that emerge when AI, Computer Vision, and Embedded Systems come together to create intuitive human-machine interactions. Looking forward to exploring more applications in robotics, automation, and smart systems! #ArtificialIntelligence #ComputerVision #Python #MediaPipe #ESP32 #IoT #Automation #MachineLearning #STEM #Innovation #Engineering #TechProjects #OpenCV #AI
