I needed a bit of recovery time after this one… on the last day of the year it feels right to reflect on a very successful edition of Snowfest winter sports festival The Hague 🇳🇱 and Rock A Rail street style ski & snowboarding. Possibly one of the most successful stops in the lowlands ever. From December 19 to 21, Gemeente Den Haag shifted from yellow 💛 green 💚 to white ❄️, turning the city into a full-on urban winter playground. Amazing ski and snowboard action, right in the middle of the city. SnowFest #DenHaag was about community, creativity and sharing winter vibes with everyone who showed up. ✨ big thanks to who made this happen First of all Anthony Renaud, our local organizer. The SnowFest Village was buzzing all weekend long. What started as an idea became something very real and special 💛💚 🥇 the heartbeat of the weekend Rock A Rail started by Marlon de Gruijter back in 2011, and again executed flawlessly this year by Gerben Verweij from GV constructions and Stefan Plattner from MTNpool. The final stop of the Rock A Rail tour delivered exactly what it stands for: raw street style, heavy tricks and next-level creativity. Five stops across Europe, finishing where it all began. Locals holding it down, international riders stepping up, and the crowd on top of the action. #StreetStyle at its best. 👨‍👩‍👧 winter sports for all! from first-timers discovering winter sports to Kids Day chaos and a packed village all weekend. This was about opening doors and pulling people in. Watching quickly turned into joining. 🏂 so you think you can ride? personal highlight was the Sunday, a stop of the World Rookie Tour with a large delegation from Shred Masters and a masterclass by Casper Holtzapfel. Many families and kids came to try out winter sports, thanks to the promo efforts of Haagse schatten. 🙏 thanks to the community for showing up, making noise and being part of it.
