Riedel’s SimplyLive Solution Powers Centralized VAR for Argentina’s Top Football League ⚽ The Asociación del Fútbol Argentino (AFA) has renewed and expanded the centralized Video Assistant Referee system for its top league, AFA SuperLiga – operated by Torneos and powered by Riedel’s SimplyLive technology. Since its debut in 2021 as Latin America’s first centralized VAR deployment, the system has helped officiate more than 400 matches annually, enabling efficient, reliable, and FIFA-compliant video review operations across the country. With five fully redundant Video Operation Rooms, eight OB vans, and flexible replay workflows, the solution supports up to five simultaneous matches while ensuring seamless communication between referees, replay operators, and production teams.
