Get FREE two-day training to become a paraprofessional or substitute teacher! We have a few spots left for this two-day workshop on May 28 & 29! On that Thursday and Friday, sessions will run from 8 AM to 3 PM. They will provide training, resources, and the opportunity to connect directly with hiring partners. Topics include effective communication strategies, trauma-informed practices, classroom management, cultural competency, and a Q & A panel with local school leaders. The workshop, hosted by Richland, is funded through the Grow Your Own Teachers Illinois initiative. We will provide breakfast and lunch; we also offer a completion stipend. There will also be financial assistance for the certification fee. Participants are expected to attend both days of the workshop. Note: The training is for people who want to become paraprofessionals/substitutes and not those who currently are in those positions. Register now before the spots fill up!
