dunhill opens new exhibition within the Ginza flagship in Tokyo Launching in tandem with the Heritage in Motion campaign, the immersive exhibition celebrates the savoir-faire that has defined the House since its inception in 1893. Launched on 27th May and open until 28th June, the exhibition traces the House's leather goods story from Alfred Dunhill’s early Motorities driving luggage to the refined leather pieces of today. Archival trunks, driving jackets and a special appearance from the Tweenie Car are presented alongside a live workshop experience, where Satsuki Ishizuka, leather modelist from the Walthamstow workshop, demonstrates hand-finishing and edge-painting, highlighting the craft behind dunhill leather. Centred around Alfred and the renewed leather goods collection, the exhibition explores the relationship between dunhill motoring heritage, artisanal savoir-faire and contemporary craftsmanship. Through archive pieces and new leather designs, the activation offers clients an intimate view into the precision, functionality and innovation that have shaped the House for more than 130 years. To mark the occasion, dunhill welcomed clients and guests from the worlds of fashion, film, design and culture to a series of conversations and private events across the Ginza flagship and the newly opened Soho House Tokyo. Among them, a special in-conversation between Simon Holloway and Hirofumi Kurino, one of Japan’s most respected fashion authorities, explored the evolving language of contemporary British style.
