Service to our country has been fundamental in shaping my life – I began my journey as a midshipman at United States Naval Academy moved through the ranks as a Surface Warfare Officer, Cryptologist, Space Cadre and Information Warfare Officer with the US Navy and even while working in the private sector, I stayed connected to opportunities to continue to serve our country in a supporting role by working with my fellow #CISOs in the financial sector and with Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency to protect our critical infrastructure. I am honored to have been asked to return in a formal role in service to our country as the Chief Information Security Officer and Director of the Office of Cyber Security Central Intelligence Agency As cyber threats continue to evolve and the focus on nation-state actors grows, the Central Intelligence Agency is critical to our Nation’s first line of defense and the work they do is a vital component of our national security efforts. I am excited by the opportunity to directly contribute to this important work they deliver everyday and help lead the Agency’s cybersecurity capabilities. To continue to compete in a digitally empowered world, we will innovate, deter, defend, and enable the diverse and integrated cyber workforce at the CIA to ensure mission success. Over the last decade+ I have had the opportunity to work with some of the most tremendous people in the private sector - teammates who have supported me, who have led the charge to keep our nation’s critical infrastructure safe, and, most importantly, who have become friends. Thank you to all of you for your tireless efforts. Lastly, none of this would be possible with my family and the sacrifices they have given throughout the years to allow me to serve this country. They are my rock and I am forever grateful for their support and sacrifice.
